📆 October is coming in with a pretty good soundtrack.

The third Playa del Carmen Jazz Fest takes over Teatro de la Ciudad for four nights, while Playa Spice begins its annual restaurant run and CancĂșn welcomes Tsunami Comicon. Add markets, family activities, plenty of live music and even a wedding where nobody actually gets married, and there’s more than enough to pull you off the sofa. Here’s what’s happening from Thursday through Sunday.

Don't Buy SpaceX Stock. Buy These 3 Instead.

The biggest IPO in history is live — $1.75T valuation, $135 open, $75B raised. And history says the retail investors who chase day-one hype are the ones who get burned.

The SpaceX run created thousands of new millionaires. But it wasn't the people buying at the open. It was the ones positioned early, in the names set to ride the wave.

Our analyst pinpointed 3 stocks positioned to ride the SpaceX wave — with entry guidance and price targets, a bonus 4th pick (the most undervalued name in the sector), and a 3-phase playbook for when to buy and when to sell.

Playa del Carmen Jazz Fest 2026

Thursday, October 1 — Sunday, October 4

Jazz festivals have a long history in Playa del Carmen. The former Riviera Maya Jazz Festival brought major international performers to Mamita’s Beach for nearly two decades. This newer, independent festival, organized by renowned performing arts school Explayarte, is building its own identity around theater concerts, music education and community participation.

The third edition opens with four consecutive nights at Teatro de la Ciudad. The program moves from Mexican jazz with Emmanuel Mora Organ TrĂo and RubĂ©n Pastor TrĂo. Other featured performers include Kike Pat, Santa Sabina with saxophonist Scott Paddock and a closing performance by Spanish singer Sole GimĂ©nez. One production not to miss is “Sampling Is Beautiful”, a French trio that combining turntables, keyboards, trumpet, bass and drums with sounds drawn from a wide range of sources. The result falls somewhere between jazz, electronic music and live sound collage.

Free master classes, workshops and additional concerts continue throughout October. A four-night pass is 1,900 MXN; individual concert tickets are also available.
